About TAB
TAB was established in 1965 as a subsidiary of Rudnik Mežica Holding (Lead Mine Mežica Holding) in a region where different lead activities are more than 350 years old.
For the first 15 years TAB was a license partner of Tudor, Sweden. Nowadays, TAB is producing a wide range of lead acid flooded, VRLA AGM and VRLA Gel batteries in three modern factories with approximately 1.300 employees on three different locations:
First location in Zerjav, Slovenia, there is a recycling plant producing approx. 30.000 t of soft lead per year from 60.000 t of scrap and a factory for industrial batteries with annual capacity 1,8 mio pieces of TAB branded traction and stationary cells,
The second location is in Crna na Koroškem, Slovenia, where there is a factory for starter batteries of TAB, Topla, Vesna and Volthor brands with annual capacity of 3,0 mio pieces,
The third factory is situated in Macedonia, Probishtip, with annual capacity of 1,5 mio pieces of starter batteries of Vesna and Starter Vesna brands and recycling plant producing approx. 5.000 t of soft lead per year from 10.000 t of scrap.
In TAB also various military batteries are produced. Our high quality batteries are known worldwide, especially in Europe, Asia and America.
DIN Batteries
We assemble individual cells (2V) into batteries with different voltages, capacities and dimensions which suite to all types of electrical machines.
Wide production program covers the range of
- DIN (EPzS) cells according to EN60254 – 1,2 and IEC 254 – 1,2.
- Traction batteries TAB of type EPzS are appropriated for propulsion of different electrical machines (forklifts, mine locomotives, etc.)
- Electrolyte density by 30 °C: 1,29 ± 0,01 kg/l.
- Weight tolerance is ± 5 %.
- Cells from 7 to 10 EPzS types are available with 2 poles.
- For 4 poles, please specify with your order.
- All 12 EPzS and 10 Pg/555 and 10 Pg/590 cells are available with 4 poles only.
PzV Gel Batteries:
Maintenance free TAB Gel batteries are new high sophisticated traction batteries in the family of TAB motive power products.
Sealed TAB Gel batteries are produced in VRGLA
Gel technology (Valve Regulated Lead Acid batteries with electrolyte in the form of gel) according to EN 60254-2 standard.
They can be used in all kind of electrical appliances like:
forklift trucks, electric road machines, cleaning machines, etc.
Due to its high operational safety and high degree of environmental friendliness TAB Gel battery is particularly suitable for applications in pharmaceutical, food, chemical and similar industries.
